Overlooking resistance training is common mistake and one of the biggest ones I made when I first started my quest of losing 120 pounds. Like a lot of people I was way overweight and was at the point where I was determined to do something about it. I dove in and started changing eating habits. I also started an aggressive cardio program and had a lot of success… at first. The pounds started getting harder and harder to drop though because of one crucial mistake. I had completely neglected to incorporate any type of resistance training. People think of weight lifting when you say that, but it can be anything designed to increase muscle growth and it is a vitally important piece of the puzzle.
