Juice fast reboot Day 5 was good at 4:00 am. I woke in bed with no headache. I looked at the clock and thought, “It’s just waaay to early to be up.” Juicing has a way of getting me up very early in the morning. Sooo, in an attempt not to disturb anyone, I decided [...]
You know, I’ve wanted to write this post about the Baby Food Diet ever since I first heard of it, but have been avoiding it for one main reason. The Baby Food Diet and its creator, Tracy Anderson, both bring out the worst in me… nothing but negativity. Although those make for some popular posts, I’d rather not add to the vitriol that is so prevalent nowadays.
It’s a pea that keeps rattling around in my head though. So I thought instead of breaking out my poison tipped pen and calling Tracy Anderson every name in the book, why not use it as an example of the epitome of fad diets? By now the whole thing is old news, which means we can look back at how the fad played out. I'll try to keep my negativity in check.
Waking up this morning was much better than yesterday by far - no mad cows and no horrifying reboot headache. I do have just a mild headache, but expect it to clear once I get some water and juice into my system. I've got a baby wrapped up with me snuggling right now...that makes for a good morning no matter what. Though, I'm stuck watching "Timmy" the sheep while trying to check in here on the laptop = a bit much for me this early in the morning, lol. We get a lot of "Timmy" and "Shaun" the sheep around here...
OMG reboot day 3 is evil... It's 5:45 am, and I have the most horrifying headache... Again, major super-cow kick to the base of my skull. I almost crawled to the kitchen this morning and will admit that I literally did crawl out of bed. I filled a tall glass of cold water and downed a shot of wheat grass. Randy and I keep a jar of freeze dried wheat grass in the kitchen always - so, so, so, so glad for this today.
So here I am, early this morning, writing in about the paaaaaaaaaaaain, one key at a time to think about anything else. The light from the screen is sending a lightsaber directly through my eyes to the back of my head, but it's worth it to sit here and whine, ha ha... My best medicine is my voice, and I use it often.
Good morning to reboot day number 2 and NOT having my face squashed. Thank gawd for that too, because bad news, I took a cow kick to the back of the head = bad for Amy. Well, not exactly, but it sure felt like it. WTH? This happened to me on day 2 of my very first fast, but I believe it was more of a hammer to the forehead kinda thing going on that morning...
