OMG reboot day 3 is evil… It’s 5:45 am, and I have the most horrifying headache… Again, major super-cow kick to the base of my skull. I almost crawled to the kitchen this morning and will admit that I literally did crawl out of bed. I filled a tall glass of cold water and downed a shot of wheat grass. Randy and I keep a jar of freeze dried wheat grass in the kitchen always – so, so, so, so glad for this today.
So here I am, early this morning, writing in about the paaaaaaaaaaaain, one key at a time to think about anything else. The light from the screen is sending a lightsaber directly through my eyes to the back of my head, but it’s worth it to sit here and whine, ha ha… My best medicine is my voice, and I use it often.
I weighed myself, just before sitting down, and I’m surprised that the scale dropped another pound. Yesterday was a bit of a surprise as well (a 3 pound loss)… Hmmm…. I may have to start adding some chia seeds for extra calories – I move like a hummingbird all day and have no intention of slowing down soooo, time to bump up the business.
Morning Juice Fast Reboot Check In:
- Body Fat – 16.8 %
- Weight – 123.6 lbs - Lean 102.84 lbs – Fat 20.76 lbs
- BMI – 20.1
Nightly Juice Fast Reboot Assessment:
- Headaches – Worst headache yet ever this morning, but relieved with water, a shot of wheat grass, and stretching – lots of stretching
- Sleep – Good sleep and up at 5:45 am
- Energy – Real good, even a little speedy today
- Joint pain – Zero
- Stamina – Still going strong…
- Motivation – Remains strong
- Hunger – More bouts of hunger today, but that’s no surprise considering it’s day 3
In your face day 3! Take the chia! Hahhahahaaaa…. Day three for me proves to be the hump to get over. In each previous fast, it’s been my hardest day as far as hunger pains and cravings go. I think it’s because my body has figured out that “hey, ummm I’m missin something here,” and makes for a loud protest. But this day 3, I’ve seemed to stumbled on a weapon – chia.
Grandma gave Randy and I a goody bag filled with superfoods of sorts containing both ground organic chia seeds and whole seeds. I’ve been wanting to try this new superfood, but kept forgetting to get into it. Well, Hungry For Change aired online (of course I was glued to it), and it was mentioned how adding healthy, gelatinous foods to fresh vegetable juice could aid in healthy detoxing of the body. Hmmm…
Sooo, I was pretty much starving (not) before lunch and remembered I had this bag of organic sprouted chia powder. I do not know if this is exactly the right thing to do or not on a juice fast, but… I mixed into a 12 oz. glass of water the recommended serving size of 3 tablespoons and drank it down. It tastes a little gritty, but not horrible. However, it’s wise to drink chia quickly. It becomes like jello in as little as 10 minutes.
Anyhow, I felt satisfied. I mean like I ate a solid food. Maybe, liquid chia is a solid food… I don’t know for sure, but… My screaming at me body felt nourished and the saber was laid to rest. This is a good thing after all.
If anybody out there knows more information on adding chia to a juice fast to aid in detoxing, feel free to chime in, because it was only briefly mentioned in Hungry For Change. Oh! And what about aloe vera too? I’m curious about these foods………….
Well, it’s 8:15 pm. I seem to be holding up well with a mild headache. I did have one more glass of chia water with my dinner. That helped much and I haven’t been hungry since. I may need just a little juice by 9 pm yet though. I’ll see how it goes. I just wanted to make sure to sit down and get my thoughts and info out now before possibly the super-cow with the wicked beefy back kick enters the room again. My gawd I hope she doesn’t but, it kinda feels like her presence could be creeping around…damn cows…
My Juice Diet For Today:
- 5:45 am 18 oz. water with a shot of wheat grass powder
- 7:00 am 6 oz. orange juice
- 7:45 am 12 oz. Hawaiin Sunrise
- 8:45 am 12 oz. water
- 9:30 am12 oz. water
- 10:15 am 12 oz. Yoda Juice
- 11:00 am 12 oz. water
- 12:00 pm 12 oz. Cream Soda W/O the Soda
- 12:30 pm 12 oz. water with 3 Tablespoons chia powder
- 3:15 pm 12 oz. orange juice
- 5:00 pm 12 oz. water
- 6:30 pm 12 oz. water with 3 Tablespoons of chia powder
- 6:30 pm 12 oz. Yoda Juice
- 8:30 pm 12 oz. water
Total juice for reboot day 3 = 66 oz. + 1 shot of freeze dried wheat grass + 6 Tablespoons ground chia
Water = 102 oz. = holy wow that’s a lot of water!
Wish me luck folks, I think tonight might not be a quiet walk in the pasture…if you know what I mean…

Poor You with that awful headache. I notice that Jason Vale suggests adding Spirulina and powdered Wheatgreass to his juices and in fact his Juice fast is seven days. Is that what you are using wheatgrass powder?
I told a friend about the film and your fast and she’s going to do it with me she says. Might be good to have support actually.
I bought some Spirulina tonight and am going to give it a try. Thank you for this information! I forgot the he mentioned adding it, so did David Wolfe as well..now I’m excited to try something new tomorrow.
Oh, yes it’s powdered wheat grass (freeze dried to keep the enzymes live and certified organic). I started taking in wheat grass when I was nursing our 5th baby. I was having the worst time keeping up with his appetite and having a thyroid issue as well. With in 2 days of adding wheat grass to my diet, I had no trouble at all.. I love this stuff.
I agree, if you have support or someone to fast with, it makes a world of difference. Randy and I have yet to fast at the same time, and I think it would be so much easier..
